32nd Annual Christmas Parade held 12/6

I'm sorry that I don't have any pics of the parade but here's the run-down. Farmers Market+Old Cars+Lots of Kids+Santa=Grand Ole Time. Upland's Downtown is made for this sort of thing and the organizers did a great job. Also, the perfect amount of people showed up, it was packed enough to look important but not too much to cause problems. The UHS band sounded great and and given how hard kids (mostly Boy Scouts) were throwing candy towards the parade watchers, our Little Leagues will be stocking the Big Leagues with loads of talent in a few years. I showed up about 4:40 and only parked about 2 small blocks away so parking wasn't an issue. I did see a lot of lowriders in the event which is odd. I always assumed that old (Stock) classic cars were invited because of the whole Route 66 thing so I'm not sure where slammed Impalas fit in.

A fun time was had by all and it is added to my list of Upland Christmas Musts. Other Upland Christmas must-sees are the Metro Santa Train and seeing the Upland Christmas Star.

Like you, I attended and enjoyed the parade. Also like you, I questionned the addition of low riders. There was no banner introducing them as a car club, etc. My friends and I kept wondering "who are these people?". I also questionned the final entry of the parade...a Burrtec trash truck...because nothing says "Christmas" like a trash truck! LOL! What were the organizers thinking???
