Ralph's over on Haven and 16th (Baseline for the unwashed) in RC has CFLs or Compact Florescent Lights for $.20 each. For those that don't know, this is an incredible deal. CFLs last longer, use less electricity, and put out less heat than their 100 year old brother the incandescent.
When I switched my house over a year or two ago I think I paid more like $1.25 each. Take it from me, I'm no hippy and I only go green when it benefits me and I had a few places that had bulbs going out all the time and that stopped when I switched to CFLs. I picked of 15 spare but the jokes on me because I haven't had 1 CFL go out yet.
The low price is due to some sort of instant rebate plus higher quantity volume lately. I'm sure other places have the same deal but I just haven't checked yet.
